Fund Administration

Fund administration is the name given to a set of activities that are carried out in support of the process of running a collective investment scheme, whether the scheme is a traditional pension, a mutual fund or unit trust, a hedge fund or a private equity fund.

These administrative activities include:

  • Calculation of the fund Net Asset Value (NAV) including the calculation of income and expense accruals
  • Preparation of periodical  accounts
  • Maintenance of the fund's financial books and records
  • Payment of the fund expenses
  • Calculation and payment of dividends and distributions as required
  • Maintaining share registers and unit holder registration details
  • Communication with all participants - the operator, the fund managers, the investors, and any and all other parties in relation to the administration of the fund.
  • Supervision of the orderly liquidation and dissolution of the fund as required
